The Camino Portugués

Santiago de Compostela Botafumeiro

On September 10, 2014 we flew to Lisbon, Portugal to walk the Camino de Santiago de Compostela via the Camino Português. The Camino Português starts in Lisbon, Portugal and ends in Santiago de Compostella, Spain after travelling 615.6 kilometers (382.5 miles). We were planning on taking four weeks to make the trip, actual ETA in Santiago was more like five weeks due to blisters, food poisoning and rain (lots and lots of rain). We weren't moving fast, but we were carrying the GPS and of course eating and drinking.

We arrived in Santiago de Compostela on October 11, 2014.

Here are links to GPX files for the route we actually Walked…and for the route we WISH we had Walked

Buen Camino!
